With so many healthy weight loss diet programs released every year, it gets pretty tough to choose one that really works. That is if you even believe these healthy weight loss diets work in the first place. But if you are overweight, feeling unfit and ugly, the best way to lose weight and keep it off is to go on healthy weight loss diet. Not some fad diet that absolutely destroys your metabolism, moods and energy levels.

A Healthy Weight Loss Diet Is Not Starving Yourself
While portion control goes a long way to losing weight quickly, starving yourself is not the way to go. Not only does it destroy your body metabolism and makes keeping weight off more difficult, it also is unhealthy for you to lose weight through starvation. Once you start eating again, it becomes very difficult to NOT binge and stuff your face with food.

A healthy weight loss diet has to contain adequate serving sizes needed to sustain your body and energy levels. Losing weight quickly is not fun at all if you are depressed, easily irritable and a general pain in the ass to be around. A healthy weight loss diet should also contain good amounts of vegetables and fruits to include fiber and the necessary vitamins for a healthy body.

A Healthy Weight Loss Diet Is Not Just All About Food
Regardless of the terminology, losing weight healthily is not all about food. While it is true that diet is the major reason why you are fat, overweight and generally unfit, you need to choose a weight loss diet program that includes exercise. While quick weight loss diets like Fat Loss 4 Idiots do work for obese men and women, they are only about weight loss and not overall holistic health.

In a healthy weight loss diet program, your exercise component should include elements of strength training, cardiovascular workouts, and interval training to boost your resting metabolic rate to keep your body burning fat even when you are not working out.
