Low Fat Diet Plan – Weight Loss For Healthy Living

While you can’t be perfect on a low fat diet for weight loss, you can still empower yourself to keep yourself on track. Try to keep these three things in mind to avoid while you’re on a diet.

Avoid Situations where you are tempted to over eat. This can involve many situations and can include the following: going out to dinner, going to parties without healthy options for you to eat or any last minute decision to go out. Basically it’s any situation where you are tempted or influences to eat a lot.

There are a few tips to avoid over eating when you are at a restaurant or bar. If it’s planned, then eat something healthy before you go out. For example, have a protein shake with a piece of fruit. This way you’re not starving when you get there.

If it’s a spontaneous outing, order something healthy on the menu. For example look for items that are not fried and not high in fat.

The worse situation is when you’re starving and there’s nothing healthy to eat offered on the menu. This is when you have to be the strongest. The best thing to do is to order the smaller portion of the menu item. For example, if you’re ordering buffalo wings, get 6 of them instead of 12. Another option is to eat half of the meal and get the remainder of the meal wrapped up. This is something you can do ahead of time before you get the meal.

Another situation to avoid is getting hungry. This may sound like a catch 22 when you’re on a low fat diet, but, you don’t want to be hungry. Your will lose weight when your body thinks it’s not starving itself. The goal is to not be hungry and keep your body out of survival mode. When your body is in survival mode, the body can actually fight to keep the fat on your body.

In order to avoid hunger is to eat small protein rich meals every 2.5 to 3 hours.

Finally, you want to avoid dehydration. The best way to avoid dehydration is to drink water constantly. Not only will it help you stay hydrated, you’ll reduce bloat and hunger cravings during the work day.

If you work during the day your may want to keep a bottle of water near you at all times and keep refilling it. The amount of water depends on you. However, the common theory is to try and drink a gallon of water a day.
